Enter the dimensions of the package for your product using the delivery length [shipping_length]
, delivery width [shipping_width]
and delivery height [shipping_height]
attributes. These three attributes help determine the delivery cost if you're using a carrier-calculated delivery method in Merchant Center.

When to use
Optional for each product
If you want to specify dimensions for carrier-calculated delivery rates, provide them using the delivery length [shipping_length]
, delivery width [shipping_width]
and delivery height [shipping_height]
attributes. You can set up carrier-calculated delivery in your Merchant Center account delivery settings.
Delivery costs are calculated based on dimensions and weight, so providing the dimensions of your package will help ensure that Google calculates the cost correctly. Dimensions and weight are especially important for unusually shaped products such as 'pool noodles' or 'fishing rods'.

Minimum requirements
These are the requirements that you'll need to meet to show your product. If you don't follow these requirements, we'll disapprove your product and let you know in your Merchant Center account.
- Include all dimension attributes if you include any of them. If you don't include all of the attributes, the information can't be used to calculate delivery cost.
- Use the same unit of measurement for each attribute. Otherwise, the information can't be used to calculate delivery cost.
Best practices
These best practices can help you to go beyond the basic requirements to optimise your product data for performance.
- Use dimension attributes along with the delivery weight
[shipping_weight]
attribute. Carrier-calculated delivery rates can vary depending on the weight and dimensions of your product. So if you don't provide both dimensions and weight, the calculated delivery cost might not be accurate.
