Business personalization controls how your account-level Merchant Center data is shared across Google business products that you use. You can choose to opt out of this setting at any time.
How business personalization is used
With business personalization, you’re giving Google permission to access Merchant Center account data and provide you with recommendations in other Google business products, such as Google Analytics and Google Ads, based on shared Merchant Center account-level data from you and authorized users.
This data can include information about the products you list and features you use, how you’ve set up your accounts, and trends in your Ads campaign spending, if you’ve linked your Google Ads Account.
You’re in control of the data you share, so you can opt out of business personalization at any time by toggling the data sharing setting off in your Merchant Center account.
How to opt out of business personalization
Use the following steps to update your business personalization preferences:
- In your Merchant Center account, click on Admin on the left side panel.
- Under “General account options”, navigate to “Data sharing”.
- Select “Do not share data” to turn off the data sharing setting.
