Allow Google to crawl your website and collect promotion information
You’re seeing this issue because Google cannot crawl your website to collect promotion information. This stops Google from showing promotions that are on your website on Google surfaces.
If you have opted out of crawling, you should let Google crawl your website. Ensure that your robots.txt file allows both user-agents "Googlebot" (used for landing pages) and "Googlebot-image" (used for images) to crawl your full site.
You can allow a full-site crawl by changing your robots.txt file as follows:
User-agent: OPT_IN
Instructions
- Sign in to your Merchant Center.
- From the left side menu, click Marketing and select Promotions.
- In the next page, find the “Add promotions from your website” banner and click Manage. This opens a pop-up “Add automated promotion updates”.
- You can also access this banner in the “Promotions feeds” page.
- Tick the checkbox and click Add promotions.
