How to fix: Promotion expired

Extend the end date of your promotion

You are seeing this issue because one or more of your promotions have expired. Expired promotions do not display on Google surfaces.

To fix this issue, extend the promotion end date using the promotion effective dates [promotion_effective_dates] or the promotion display dates [promotion_display_dates] attribute.

Instructions

Step 1 of 3: Find the affected promotions

  1. Sign in to your Merchant Center, click Marketing in the left navigation menu.
  2. Select Promotions.
  3. Click Promotion feeds in the top right corner.
  4. Select the feed that you want to open.
  5. In the “Processing” tab, click Download report under “Processing report”.

Step 2 of 3: Update the end dates of the promotions

  1. Filter the downloaded report so that you only view promotions with:
    Issue title” = Promotion expired.
  2. Extend the end date of the promotions using the promotion effective dates [promotion_effective_dates] or the promotion display dates [promotion_display_dates] attribute.

Step 3 of 3: Resubmit your promotion data

  1. Sign in to your Merchant Center account, click Marketing in the left navigation menu.
  2. Select Promotions.
  3. Click Promotion feeds in the top right corner.
  4. Select the feed that you want to open.
  5. Click Upload file in the top right corner.
  6. After uploading the file, click Re-process feed.
