How to fix: Aggregators with unlicensed dealers

Aggregators advertising offers from unlicensed dealers are not supported. In most cases, you will receive a 28-day warning before your account is disapproved.

If you are an aggregator with licensed dealerships, submit your dealership licence details in the form. If the dealership licence can’t be verified, your vehicle advertiser account will be disapproved.

In order to resolve the issue, the dealerships whose offers you are advertising must have valid dealership licences in the state where the vehicles are located or offered for sale. To have your aggregator verified for valid licences, follow the instructions below.

Note: You are not required to submit the dealer licence proactively. Submit the licences in question, only if you receive the policy issue message saying, 'Aggregators with unlicensed dealers are not supported'.

Instructions

Step 1: Review the dealerships on your Vehicle ads account and make sure that they are licensed

  • Vehicles advertised for sale must be from a dealership that has a valid licence in the state or region where they are located or offered for sale. Aggregators should ensure that the dealerships in their network have valid dealership licences.

Step 2: Enter the licence information in the form

  • For 'Merchant Type', select 'Aggregator' in the drop-down.
  • If you have multiple licences to validate, click 'Add additional field' to add more fields to the form.
  • The form supports multiple attachments. Attach the dealership licences for the state(s) where you are advertising vehicles.

Step 3: If the dealership on your account has an invalid licence, remove them from your feed

  • In some instances, if your account or one of your product offers is disapproved and you’ve either fixed the issue or you disagree with the issue, you can request a review. If the review is successful, your issue will disappear. If the disapproval remains and you’re uncertain with how to proceed, contact us for support.
Note: If you use a third-party platform to list your products, you may also be able to go to your third-party application to request a review.
