If you try to upload a data source with a promotion that has previously been reviewed, you will likely get an error message stating, “Can't update an offer which has already been reviewed.” This error occurs when you try to update an approved promotion. To address this issue, do the following:
Review your promotion status
- In your Merchant Center account, go to Promotions in the left navigation menu.
- On the All promotions tab, note the “Status” column.
- Click the pencil icon to the right of a promotion to edit that promotion's information.
- If the status of a promotion is “Approved”, it is still possible to edit most of that promotion's information using promotion builder. If the status is “Disapproved”, click the speech bubble icon in the Policy Status column for more details. A pop-up window will appear with information about the review status.

Create a new promotion
Duplicate the information from your original promotion, and then make your desired edits. Ensure you use a new promotion_id
. The promotion will upload into our system as a new promotion and will go through the 2-step review process again.
