If the dealership licence can't be verified, your vehicle advertiser account will be disapproved upon onboarding. Regional licensing is required. To resolve this, you must have a valid dealership licence in the region where your vehicles are located or offered for sale. Follow the instructions below on how to apply for dealership licence verification.

Note: You're not required to submit the dealer licence proactively. Submit only if you receive 'Dealership licence cannot be verified' disapproval.

Instructions

Step 1: Review your dealership licence information

  • Ensure that your dealership licence is valid (e.g. expiry date, region of sale).

Step 2: Confirm your shop code

  1. Sign in to your Merchant Center account.
  2. Select Products on the navigation menu, then click All products.
  3. Select the vehicle from your list.
  4. Under the 'Local inventory' section, confirm that the 'Shop code' or the dealership location of your vehicle is associated with the correct business listing and physical address.

Step 3: Submit your dealership licence details

  1. If applicable, submit the details in the vehicle ads dealership licence verification application form.
  2. Wait for the application to be reviewed. The review will take up to seven days.
    • If your dealership licence is verified, the suspension will be lifted. At this point, there's no need to submit any additional licences for review.
    • If your dealership licence can't be verified, you'll be unable to participate in the vehicle ads programme and your account will remain suspended.

Step 4: Request review

In some instances, if your account or one of your product offers is disapproved and you've either fixed the issue or you disagree with the issue, you can request a review. If the review is successful, your issue will disappear. If the disapproval remains and you're uncertain about how to proceed, contact us for support.

Note: If you use a third-party platform to list your products, go to your third-party application to request a review.
