How to fix your issue
To provide the best possible experience for your customers, complete the following steps. After these updates are live, you'll be ready to request a review and keep your store running smoothly.
- Check that your website contains all necessary info. A website must contain contact info and policy pages including but not limited to a clear “About” page, return policy, shipping info, and business info.
- Remove any placeholders on your website. Check your site for "Lorem Ipsum" text or default template images, such as "Add customer reviews here". These prevent your store from being verified as a trusted business.
- Check that your website doesn’t have any broken links. Links on your website need to be responsive and shouldn’t lead to 404 errors, or redirect back to the home page instead of the intended destination. Check that your social media pages are linked correctly on your website.
Request a review
After making the requested changes, you can request a review in Merchant Center for Google to review your website again.
Keep in mind:
- It may take some time for your changes to be reflected.
If your account or product gets disapproved you can either fix the problem and request a review of your issues, or disagree with the issue and request a review. You can also request a re-review by editing the ad or using the "Appeal" button in the Policy Manager. When technical fixes are live, making a small edit to the ad or clicking "Appeal" can trigger a fresh crawl. Recrawls usually resolve within 24–48 hours. There may be additional verification steps depending on the issue, and a limit on the number of reviews you can request.
If the review is successful, your issue will disappear.
If the disapproval remains and you’re uncertain with how to proceed, contact us for support.
Note: If you use a third-party platform to list your products, you may request a review directly through their application.
