How to get Google Meet to transcribe Spanish - Not Live Captions, but Transcribe

Google Meet can transcribe in English and provides the transcription afterward.  It doesn't seem able to transcribe Spanish however.  It can do Live Captions in Spanish, and it is fantastic - the captions are accurate.  However, I would like a transcription of the conversation, but every attempt to do so has resulted in nonsensical or inaccurate transcriptions, where it seems to be trying to transcribe English from spoken Spanish.  If Google Meet can live caption Spanish so well, why can't it transcribe it?  Is there a way I can get it to transcribe Spanish?

I tested this by reading some Spanish into a Meet set to Spanish language and also got an unusable transcript. I'm going to ask some of the other project experts about this and see what I can find out.

Hi Mark, thank you but what could this be due to?  Live Captions works perfrectly for Spanish, so the engine is there for Spanish.  Why can't/wouldn't Transcribe be enabled for Spanish too?
