Connect a Google Account to Meet

To use Google Meet, you need to connect your Google Account and, optionally, your phone number. Your available Google Accounts will automatically be added to Meet when you open the app. When you connect your Google Account to your calling account in the Meet app:

• You can use Meet calling across different devices.
  • For mobile devices with SIM cards, you must register your phone number. Learn how to get started with calling in Google Meet.
• People with your phone number or Google Account info, like your Gmail address, can:
  • Know that you use Meet calling.
  • Call you with the Meet app.

Important: On your iPhone and iPad, you:

• Can’t change the phone number on your account.
• Can only remove your Google Account from the device.

To change the phone number on your account, you can use a computer. Learn how to change a phone number on your Google Account.

On your iPhone or iPad, download the latest version of the Meet app.

Add your Google Account to Meet

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Meet app .
2. Sign in with your Google Account.
   • Meet automatically adds available Google Accounts.

Add your calling account

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Meet app .
2. Tap Navigation menu   Settings .
3. Next to "Account," tap Add calling account.
4. Enter your phone number.
5. To verify your phone number, follow the verification steps.

Add your Google Account to your calling account

Important: Only one Google Account can be associated with a calling account. Once you add your account, people can reach you with both your phone number and Google Account across Google Services.

If you didn’t add your Google Account to your calling account when you signed-up, follow these steps:

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Meet app .
2. At the top right, switch to your calling account.
3. Tap Navigation menu .
4. Tap Settings Calling settings Calling account.
5. Select the Google Account you want to add.
   • If you don't have an account on your device, tap Add account.

Delete your Meet calling account on your device

If you delete Meet calling, you can’t make or receive calls on Meet on the device.

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Meet app  .
2. At the top right, switch to your calling account.
3. Tap Navigation menu Settings.
4. Tap Calling settings Calling account Delete calling account.

Disconnect your email from Google Meet calling

When you turn off email reachability, you:

• Appear unreachable by your email address.
• Leave groups you joined with your email address.
• Stay signed into Meet.
• Can still create and join Meetings by switching to your email account.

To disconnect your email from Meet calling:

1. Open the Meet app .
2. On the top right, switch to your calling account.
3. Tap Navigation menu .
4. Tap Settings Calling settings Calling account.
5. Under “Google Account,” turn off People can contact you using your email address.
