Maps keeps opening up with the left tab discplaying a trip from 5 years ago. How do I kill it.

Kill the trip info and map that keeps opening automatically at startup. I would like to have a fresh page every time I open the program.

Do you open maps by entering https://maps.google.com in the adress bar or do you use a shortcut?
