If you need more destinations to plan your trip, you can split the trip into multiple stages and create a layer Direction for your custom map on My Maps for each stage. There is a maximum of 10 layers on Google My Maps.

Alternatively, you can check some of the other mapping solutions that provide more inetremediate destinations, like Mapquest and Bing maps.

I think it's ridiculous to just be able to use 10 destinations on a map.

Hi Don,

Yes, it is a low number of intermediate destinations for long trips, or even short ones with multiple stops. It is important that users send feedback directly to Google, the more people complain about this issue the better the chances that Google may consider incresing this limit.

treebles - would you happen to have the best link/email for us to send our feedback to GOOGLE? I just want to use the correct one. I'm planning a trip across the US and back and I got stumped with the limit of 8 destinations. I guess I'll try BING but would rather have it here where I am comfortable and use to using.
