The 4:40 & 5:40 are the travel duration. It may take upto 4 Hrs 40 Min to 5 Hrs 40 Min time to reach the destination and it will be around 1:40 AM local time.

Hi Ron,

The feature isn't available on Google Maps, though you can use the timezone overlay for Google Earth Pro Desktop.

Is the "arrive around..." time located in the directions, the local time of the destination based on their time zone?

Because the arrival time shows 4:40 - 5:40 drive time, I was curious what the 1:40 AM arrival time was. Is the 1-hour spread in drive time to accommodate the time zone change? Or, does Google maps say it could take anywhere from 4:40 to 5:40 to drive the distance, leaving an hour of fudge?

You might try this Time Zones on Google Maps tool. It shows all of the time zone boundaries on Google Maps and also the current time wherever you click/search.
