Hi WRDG,

Thanks for letting me know. First off - in order for the GPS to acquire your position, you need a clear view of the sky. It may not work correctly indoors. Also, are you able to determine your location through GPS in the Maps app (not Navigation)? Just FYI - the GPS icon in the notification bar will blink when it's trying to lock on to satellites and remains steady when it has a fix.

Best,
Tom

Yes the GPS icon does blink and continues to blink but never goes steady (fix on a satelite) Thus keep getting the searching for GPS at the bottom of the navigate window... Any other suggestions?

Were you able to try it outside with a clear view of the sky? Or though the Maps app (open Maps, press Menu > My Location)?

Yes I've been outside and have had this problem since I got the phone and have been driving around town trying to get it to find the GPS and nothing... it must see me through the cell towers since my location shows but its off by miles... but never shows that I'm connected via GPS

Hmm...this is odd. It's starting to sound like a hardware problem. I'd suggest resetting the Maps app by going to, from your Home screen, Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications. Once there, press the Menu button again and tap "Filters", then press "All". Scroll through the list of applications and select the Maps app. From this screen, press "Clear cache" and "Force stop". This will reset the application. After you've done this, fire up Maps again and see if you can get a GPS fix.

I'm sure you've probably already done this, but please check under Menu > Settings > Location & Security that the box next to "Use GPS Satellites" is checked/active.

Same issue as most people....
I just cannot believe how long this issue has existed without any sort of fix.
This is just completely ridiculous. How frustrating..
