Add and explore dishes in Google Maps

Become a local guide

You can explore menu options and add new dishes to a restaurant’s business profile. If you’re a Local Guide, you can add dishes to get points.

Note: Not every dish will be added to Google Maps.

Explore popular dishes

1. Open the Google Maps app .
2. Search for a place or tap it on the map.
3. At the bottom, tap the place's info tab.
4. Tap Menu.
5. To browse photos and reviews of a dish, tap the dish.

Add a dish

1. Open the Google Maps app .
2. Search for a place or tap it on the map.
3. At the bottom, tap the place's info tab.
4. Tap Menu  Add a dish . 

Report a dish

You can tell us about an inappropriate or an inaccurate dish, or let us know that a dish doesn’t exist.

1. Open the Google Maps app .
2. Search for a place or tap it on the map.
3. Tap Menu  dish that you want to report.
4. Tap Suggest an edit. 
5. Choose: 
   • Wrong dish name
   • Inappropriate dish name
   • Dish not served here

Add a photo to a dish 

1. Open the Google Maps app .
2. Search for a place or tap it on the map.
3. At the bottom, tap the place's info tab. 
4. Tap Menu  the dish that you want to add a photo to.  
5. Tap More  Add a photo.
6. Select a photo and tap Done.

Add a name to a dish

You can add names to nameless dishes.

1. Open the Google Maps app .
2. Search for a place or tap it on the map.
3. At the bottom, tap the place's info tab.
4. Tap Menu  a dish with the 'Add a dish name' tab  Add a dish name.
5. Enter the name of the dish.
6. Tap Done.

Add a dish name to a photo

1. Add a photo to Google Maps from the place's page.
2. When a request to add a dish name appears, name and recommend the dish.

Can I review a dish?

You cannot currently review a dish directly. Instead, mention a dish in your place review and the review will show up on the dish page.
