In Google Maps, you can create a list of places, like your favorite places or places you want to visit.
Make a new list
- On your computer, open Google Maps.
- Click Menu
Saved.
- In the top right, click New list
.
- Enter a name and description.
- Click Save.
Save a place to a list
- Search for a place or click it on the map.
- Click Save.
- Choose a list. To create a list, click New list
.
- Optional: To remove a place from a list, click Saved
the list.
See your lists
- On your computer, open Google Maps.
- Click Menu
Saved.
Edit or delete a list
- On your computer, open Google Maps.
- Click Menu
Saved.
- To erase a list, click More
Delete list.
- To edit a list, at the top, click More
Edit list. From here you can:
- Edit the list: Click the name or description you want to change.
- Add notes: Click the box below the address. You can add up to 4,000 characters.
- Delete a saved place: Click Remove

Your changes are saved automatically. Your comment appears in your saved list below the place.
Hide or share lists
- On your computer, open Google Maps.
- Click Menu
Saved.
- Next to the list you want to share, click More
choose an option:
Hide or show your list
To display or hide your saved places when looking at the map, click Hide/Show on your map.
Share your list
Note: You can’t share starred places.
To let others see your saved list, click Share list
choose how to share. If you want a link that you can share with others, click Get link.
To decide how easy your list is to find, click Sharing options.
Follow a list
If you follow a list made by someone else, their saved places will show up in Your Places. The places also appear as suggested locations in Google Maps.
- Open the list.
- At the top, click Follow. This list will now be added to the group of lists you follow.
- Optional: To unfollow a list, click the list
