Add a missing place to the map

You can publicly add missing places such as public landmarks, coffee shops, or other local businesses, to the map.

You can publicly add or edit addresses in maps. Add mailing addresses, fix where packages would be delivered, or adjust pin locations. Learn how to fix a missing address.

Add a missing place

When you search for an address, you must include the place’s name, location, and category. To speed up your search, you can use other attributes, but they aren’t required.

  1. On your computer, open Google Maps.
  2. Search for an address.
  3. Click Add a missing place.
Tip: To quickly find your home on the map, set your home address. No one else can see your home unless you choose to share it.

Add information about your business

If you own a business, use Google My Business to manage your Business Profile's information for free. You can quickly manage details like your business hours, address, and photos.
