Read, write, or delete reviews

On Google Maps, you can review places you’ve visited. Your reviews are public, so anyone can see what you write.

Find other people's ratings or reviews

To see ratings and reviews that were added to Google Maps from other people, follow the steps below.

  1. Open Google Maps.
  2. Search for a place.
  3. Below the search box, you'll see a rating.
  4. To read all the reviews for the place, click Reviews.

Add a rating or review

To add a rating or review for a place, follow the steps below.

  1. Open Google Maps and make sure you're signed in.
  2. Search for a place.
  3. Below the search box, click Write a review.
  4. In the window that appears, click the stars to score the place. If you want, you can also write a review.

Note: If you're using Maps in Lite mode, you won't be able to add a rating or a review.

See a list of places to review

If you have Location History turned on, you can see a list of places you've visited that you might want to review. To see the list, follow the steps below.

  1. Open Google Maps.
  2. In the top left, click the Menu .
  3. Click Your contributions.
  4. Choose Contribute.

  1. On your computer, open Google Maps.
  2. In the top left, click the Menu .
  3. Click Your contributions.
  4. Choose Reviews.
Edit or delete a review

To edit or delete a review, follow the steps below.

  1. On your computer, open Google Maps.
  2. In the top left, click the Menu .
  3. Click Your contributions.
  4. Choose Reviews.
    • To edit a review, click Edit review.
    • To delete a review, click Delete review.
