You can check Google Maps for details about upcoming events like flights, restaurant reservations or car hire. You’ll also see related info, like loyalty or savings programmes that you joined.
This information might appear:
- In your search results
- In the suggestions below the search box
- With details about a place
- On your map
- On 'Your places'
See info about your personal content
You can see your related personal info by searching for a place. Or you can search for a type of event, like my reservations or my flights.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app

- Search for a place, such as

. - Tap the event and you'll see information about the place, including info about your event.
See a list of your events
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app
.

Tap Saved
. At the bottom, tap Reservations.
Get to an event quickly
If your event is happening soon, then you'll see a shortcut to get directions to it.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app
.
- In the bottom right, tap Directions
.
- You'll see the travel time to the destination. To start directions, tap the time.
Hide your events
Hide a single event
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app
.
- Search for a place, such as
Heathrow Airport
. Or search for a type of event likemy reservations
,my flights
ormy hotels
. - Tap the event.
- Next to the event that you want to hide, tap More
.
- Select Dismiss
Dismiss.
Tip: You can also hide an event from your events list. To find your events list, on your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app
tap Saved
Reservations.
Hide all of your events
If you don't want to see your event information in Google Maps, turn off your Web & App Activity.
If you turn off Web & App Activity, the following will stop appearing in search results and on your map:
- Your recent searches
- Your home and work addresses
- Info from your Google Contacts
- Info from Gmail
Turning off Web & App Activity won't turn off:
- Info from custom maps
- Starred or saved places
- Places rated or reviewed by you
Turn off personal events
You can adjust your settings so that events from your Calendar and Gmail will no longer appear in Maps.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app

- Tap your profile picture or initial

- Under 'Your map', turn off Personal events.
Learn what people have to say about an event
Learn what other people say about an event by scrolling through the comments.
- On your Android device, open the Google Maps app
.
- At the bottom, tap Explore
Events.
- To view an event’s details, tap on the event.
Tip: Learn more about how to explore events and activities. - At the bottom, tap See all comments.
See nearby events
If local events are happening nearby, they sometimes affect your travel routes or commute times. Google Maps will let you know about these events. These notifications can't be disabled, but they'll go away when the events end.
How Maps knows about your personal content
Information about your events and personal content comes from your Gmail and your Google Account.
- Only you can see information about your personal content.
- You have to be signed into Google with Web & App Activity turned on.
