Find events, reservations, and flight info

You can see information about your upcoming events, like flights, restaurant reservations, or car rentals in Google Maps.

This information might appear:

  • In your search results
  • In the suggestions below the search box
  • With details about a place
  • On your map
  • On "Your places"

How Maps knows your events

Information about your events comes from these places in your Google Account:

  • Gmail
  • Google Calendar

Only you can see information about your events, and only when you're signed in to Google and have Web & App Activity turned on. Learn more about creating a Google Account or Gmail address.

See info about your events

You can get info about an event by searching for a place. Or you can search for a type of event, like my reservations or my flights.

  1. Open the Google Maps app Google Maps.
  2. Search for a place, like Newark airport. Or search for a type of event like my reservations, my flights, or my hotels.
  3. Tap the event and you'll see information about the place, including info about your event.

See a list of your events

  1. Open the Google Maps app Google Maps.
  2. In the top left, tap Menu Menu and then Your places and then Upcoming.

Get to an event quickly

If your event is happening soon, you'll see a shortcut to get directions to it.

  1. Open the Google Maps app Google Maps.
  2. In the bottom right, tap Directions Directions.
  3. You'll see the travel time to the destination. To start directions, tap the time.

Hide events

Hide an event

  1. Open the Google Maps app Google Maps.
  2. Search for a place, like Newark airport. Or search for a type of event like my reservations, my flights, or my hotels.
  3. Tap the event.
  4. Next to the event you want to hide, tap More More.
  5. Select Dismiss and then Dismiss.

Tip: You can also hide an event from your events list. To find your events list, open the Google Maps app Google Maps and then tap Menu Menu and then Your places and then Upcoming.

Hide all events

If you don't want to see event information in Google Maps, turn off your Web & App Activity.

If you turn off Web & App Activity, the following will stop appearing in search results and on your map:

  • Your recent searches
  • Your home and work addresses
  • Info from your Google Contacts
  • Info from Gmail

Turning off Web & App Activity won't turn off:

  • Info from custom maps
  • Starred or saved places
  • Places rated or reviewed by you
