Save favorite places

Save your favourite places on the map so that you can quickly find them later from any computer, phone or tablet.

Notes

Save a place
You can add your favorite places to a list to easily look them up later. When you save a place, it’s not the same as if you download an offline area or add a place to Google Maps.
  1. Open Google Maps
  2. Click or search for a business, place or a set of latitude and longitude coordinates.
  3. Click Save and then choose a list.

Only you can find your saved places, unless you create and share a list of places. Google may anonymously share users' combined saved places information.

Save a place from another website

If a website has a map embedded from Google Maps, you can save that place to your Google Maps

  1. Open the website with a map embedded from Google Maps.
  2. To pull up a place's information, click a place on the map.
  3. Click Save and then choose a list.

Your star and the website name shows up on your desktop and mobile Google Maps.
