Save favorite places

Save your favorite places on the map so you can quickly find them later from any computer, phone, or tablet.

Notes:

Save a place

Add your favorite places to a list to easily look them up later. Saving a place isn't the same as downloading an offline area.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Maps app Maps.
  2. Search for a place or touch and hold a spot on the map.
  3. At the bottom, tap the name or address.
  4. Tap Save and then choose a list.

Important: You can only find your saved places yourself, unless you create and share a list of places. Google may anonymously share your combined saved places information.

Tip: With iPhone 6s and up, you can use 3D Touch to find a place's website, save a place, find directions, and share a place. To turn on 3D Touch, go to the Settings app General Accessibility 3D Touch. Make sure you turn on 3D Touch. Then, open Google Maps and hard press on a place.
