Check Mail From Other Accounts Cannot Connect to Server - Even Though It's Gmail to Gmail

I have recently migrated my work email from one Gmail account to another. The import of emails went just fine. I am trying to use "Check Mail From Other Accounts" to make sure that emails to my old address get forwarded to my new one automatically. I continue to get the same error message:

"There was a problem connecting to mail.gmail.com
Server returned error: "We were unable to locate the other domain. Please contact your other provider."

I am using the correct full username, including @gmail.com, and password, Port 995, and checking "always use SSL." I am at a complete loss why Gmail cannot talk to Gmail in this way. No forums seem to help. Does anyone know what's going on?

You need to enable 2-step verification before you can get an App Password.

For POP fetching, you need to use pop.gmail.com, port 995, SSL.  You will also need to use an App Password to authenticate.

Thank you. I am much closer now. I am going to Account --> Security --> Signing in With Google but I don't see an "app password" option. Am I looking in the wrong place?
