Email from QuickBooks using Gmail address does not reach recipients

Email from QuickBooks using Gmail address does not reach recipients

Here QuickBooks suggests Solution 3: Configure server to accept QuickBooks Online mail server host names and IP addresses

How should I add this massive list of server host names and IP addresses to my Google workspace domain DNS settings?

Hi Alexander, what server name are you using in your Quickbooks setting?  If you use smtp.gmail.com you wont need to authenticate the QB servers.

We are using Google workspace for our business email for our main domain and so we are using MX records such as this ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. And so we don't use smtp.gmail.com.
Then that is your problem.  I'm not asking about MX records, they are for receiving messages.
What server do you have in Quickbooks for sending messages?

Many thanks for your help on this Keith. I guess I'm at fault here as we probably do use smtp.gmail.com although the precise settings are hidden by Mac mail - it is a G mail account for sending.

Within QuickBooks I have a choice of sending through my own email address (Google workspace) or quickbooks@notification.intuit.com. Both seem to have trouble reaching the recipients.

I think usually these recipients are using Outlook and when using my email address it looks like a spoofed account.
Are you sure that Quickbooks is sending messages through Mac Mail?  Most of the previous Quickbooks users I have helped had email sending settings within QB itself.

No I didn't mean the QuickBooks is sending through Mac mail, just at the precise SMTP settings are hidden when sending normal mail.
There should be a place in QB where you enter settings for sending as your Gmail account.  You should be able to see the SMTP server there.

I don't get the SMTP server settings I just get the opportunity to link to my Gmail account like this:
The image is not visible due to forum settings.
OK, QB is now using the most secure connection, OAuth, so the settings are automatic and mail sent through your Gmail/Google account is as authentic as sending from the Gmail website.

To provide any other advice I would need to know the domain name of the account.  Your domain needs to have correct Internet records to ensure reliable delivery.
