Create a Gmail signature

An email signature is text, like your contact information or a favorite quote, that’s automatically added at the end of Gmail messages as a footer.

You can set up a signature that shows up only for emails you send from the Gmail app.

Note: If you don't create a signature on the Gmail app, your messages will show the Gmail signature you set up on your computer.

Add or change a signature

If you have multiple accounts in the Gmail app, you need to change this setting for each account.

  1. On your phone or tablet, open the Gmail app Gmail.
  2. Tap the Menu Menu.
  3. Scroll to the bottom, then tap Settings.
  4. Tap your account.
  5. Tap Signature settings.
  6. Switch the "Signature" setting on.
  7. Add or edit your mobile signature.
  8. To save, tap Back Back.
