Format your messages

To change the appearance of your Gmail messages, use formatting options.

Format your message

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gmail app .
2. At the bottom right, tap Compose.
3. Add text to your message.
4. Double tap the text you want to format.
5. In the menu, scroll right tap Format.
6. Select a formatting option:
   • Bold
   • Italic
   • Underline

Change font size

1. On your iPhone or iPad, update the font size from Settings.
2. Open the Gmail app .
