Manage how editors set credentials for their data sources

You can determine whether users with an editor role can set owner's credentials for a data source.

In the Google Admin Console, you can control whether users with an editor role can set owner's credentials for a data source by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. In the Admin console, go to Menu and then Appsand thenAdditional Google Servicesand thenLooker Studio.
  3. Select the Features card to expand the configuration options.
  4. Select Owner's credentials.
  5. By default, editors will be able to set access to their data sources. When this feature is enabled, editors can set data sources to use owner's credentials to view data even if they don’t have access to the underlying dataset. Uncheck the Let editors set owner's credentials for data source access checkbox to require all data sources to use viewer's credentials. If you disable the feature, some viewers may lose access to data.
