In the Google Admin console, you can control whether users can add data sources from third-party — that is, non-Google — connectors by following these steps:
-
Sign in to your Google Admin console.
Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).
-
In the Admin console, go to Menu AppsAdditional Google ServicesLooker Studio.
- Select the Features card to expand the configuration options.
- Select Third Party Settings.
- By default, all non-Google connectors will be allowed. Select the Disable new non-Google data source connectors checkbox to prevent users from adding data sources from non-Google connectors.
Alert: Disabling non-Google connectors will disable existing connections to third-party data sources. Reports that use non-Google connectors will display errors.
- Select Save.
Apps Script required
To view data in a chart that is based on a community connector, Apps Script must be enabled for your organization. When Apps Script is disabled, community connectors can't fetch data and you'll see an error in the chart.
You can turn Apps Script on and off in the Admin console.
