Report and view spam

Every time you report a message as spam, you help Inbox get better at recognizing and blocking spam.

Note: When you mark an email Spam or manually move an email into your Spam folder, Google will receive a copy of the email and may analyze it to help protect our users from spam and abuse.

Report an email

If a spam email gets through to your inbox, you can report it and remove it from your inbox:

  1. Open Inbox.
  2. Select the email you want to report.
  3. In the top right, select More More and then Spam.

Tip: If the email is from a shopping website or social network, you can unsubscribe instead of reporting as spam. At the bottom of the email, look for an "Unsubscribe" or "Change Preferences" link.
