Add the node servers

Now, you need to associate the node servers with the G Suite Migrate platform so that they can run actions.

Did you use Google Compute Engine to add additional node servers? Before you complete the steps below, make sure that you have cloned the machine. Then, associate the nodes using these steps.

Add node servers using a CSV file

You can add multiple nodes using a CSV file. Create a spreadsheet with one entry per line. Headers are not required.

To create the CSV file, use the following format:

  • In column 1, add the name of the node.
  • In column 2, add the node’s IP address. Use this format: http://<node ip> or http://<hostname>:<port>.
  • In column 3, add the node’s access key (password) that you created when you installed the node server. For details, see Install the node servers

To add node servers using the CSV file:

  1. In the top-right corner, click Servers and then Add Add.
  2. Click Upload CSV file or drag the file to the box.
  3. Click Add.

Add node servers manually

To add an individual node:

  1. In the top-right corner, click Servers and then Add Add.
  2. Click Add a node server manually.
  3. Enter a name for the node server.
  4. Enter the node server’s URL. Use this format: http://<node ip> or http://<hostname>:<port>.
  5. Enter the node server’s access key (password).

Important: If you incorrectly enter the access key 3 times, the session will time out. Wait a few minutes before trying again.

  6. Click Add.

Verify the node connection
