Get started with the Google TV app

You can explore recommendations and watch movies and shows from your streaming services in the Google TV app .

Get the Google TV app

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the app store.
  2. Search for Google TV.
  3. Tap Get or Open.

Navigate the Google TV app

  • Highlights: Personalised insights and news for you to find out more about the movies and shows that you like.
  • For you: Recommendations based on what you watch and the streaming services that you add to your account.
  • Your stuff: The movies and shows that you already own or have rented through Google TV, Play Movies & TV (previously), Android TV or YouTube on any of your eligible devices. You can also find movies and shows that you have added to your watchlist.

Important: On iPad and iPhone, you can't rent or buy content in the Google TV app.
