Google play Email actually from Google???
I received an email just now and it makes no sense. I "activated" to a new phone in November then had to change my number in February (same phone). At no time was I ever not on my Google account so I would like to know why it says this? I am afraid it might be fraudulent and just changing all my security info doesn't answer my questions. Please help! Anyone that has heard anything similar or might know!
It says "Grab your apps and rejoin the party"(heading). From this email address:
welcome-googleplay-noreply@google.com
When clicked the security details say
Mailed by scoutcamp.bounces.google.com
Signed by Google.com
Security Standard encrytion TLS
At the top there is an animation of Angry Birds then Despicable me guys then a baseball catcher guy and it repeats the sequence in the animation.
The body says
" New device same favorite apps. Nice to see you again. Looking to load your new Android with all your old apps? No problem simply hit the button below, and we'll have you back on action in no time."
Below that is a green square button that says "Grab your apps"
then below that an animated envelope then words under that that say
"Become a Google Play insider. Get the latest from Google Play sent right to your inbox like feature updates exclusive offers tips and tricks".
Below that is another clickable looking green box that says "sign me up".
Below that is a was that email helpful with a smiley or frowny sign then the trademark sign 2019 Google LLC 1600 Ampitheatre Parkway,Mountainview,CA 94043,USA
"This email was sent to (then says my email address) because you recently activated an Android device"
