Why Am I Being Charged for Apps When I have a Google Play Pass?
- If you're seeing charges while having Play Pass, it's because the app you're trying to get isn't part of the Play Pass selection. Only apps within the Play Pass catalog are free with your subscription
- The app may not be included in Google Play Pass anymore
When an app or game leaves Play Pass, here's what changes:
- You can keep using it, but you might see ads or need to pay for in-app purchases
- You can still use it for a while, but eventually, you'll have to buy it separately
- You can also uninstall the app if you want to
How to See If an App Is Free with Play Pass?
- If an app is included in Play Pass, you'll see the distinctive Play Pass logo
prominently displayed on the app page in the Google Play Store
Why Am I Not Seeing Play Pass Offers?
- You won't see any offers during your Play Pass trial or promotional period. They'll appear once you switch to a regular paid subscription
- While Play Pass offers are updated throughout the month , offer availability can vary by account and region. It's common for Play Pass offers to be different for everyone, so you might not see the same ones as your friends and family
- Play Pass Offers are only available for apps that are not included as part of the Play Pass subscription, you might still get ads and find in-app purchases in these apps
- If you're under a Family Plan, just so you know, the offers go to the head of the household
- If you encounter a "can't apply offer" error while attempting to apply a promotional offer, it signifies that the offer is not valid for your account. To proceed with your purchase without the offer, remove the offer from your account and retry the purchase
- To use an offer, you have to save it to your account first
- Ensure the promotion hasn't expired
- Check if the promotion has already been redeemed, as this may prevent you from using it
