Download Pending IN Playstore

I have tried all of these & none have changed the "download pending" or " waiting for download" messages on my kindle fire 8. I followed the same steps to install play store on an older kindle fire with no problems. ( instructions here: https://www.lifewire.com/install-google-play-kindle-fire-4570988 ).

Please research & give an actual solution.

It would seem the google store is being updated BY google and the play services are not updated, and break the google store. GJ google. This worked for me on my older OTT stream box running android 5.1.1:

1. Disable any VPN you have- connect 'barefoot'.

2. Goto settings, more settings (if you have the option), then Apps.

3. UNINSTALL google play store. Let android reinstall the 'factory version'.

4. DISABLE google play services. Let android reinstall the 'factory version'.

5. DISABLE google play framework. Let android reinstall the 'factory version'.

6. Launch the play store, and let android create the new account when you login.

7. Find the Play Services Info (Update) app by weberdo in the play store, and install it. IF it hangs on downloading leave the play store running and repeat steps 3 and 4, then step 7.

8. UPDATE the play services via the app.

Voila.

Play services will now be updated, and the play store updates itself it wont break.

I had the same problem and I stumbled across a fix (at least for me)! I swiped down from the top of the screen and noticed the file download notification. I tapped it and opened Download Manager. There I saw the apps I was trying to download and above it, a dictionary file (that I don't remember asking for). I clicked the "X" to stop the dictionary download and PRESTO!!! my other apps started downloading. Give it a shot. Goodluck.

In my case i just ensured that fire software is up to date. Somehow the latest update 7.3.1.5 seemed to be in pupeline and not updating auto. After few tries it got updated. Then playstore started working normally. Trust ths helps.
