Find your friends on Google Play Games Mobile App

You can add friends on Google Play Games Mobile App. You and your friends can compete on leaderboards, compare achievements, and find new games together.

Find and add friends

You can only search for friends who set their account to discoverable.

Share an invite link

1. Open Google Play Games Mobile App .
2. At the bottom, tap Profile  Share .

Search by gamer name or email address

1. Open Google Play Games Mobile App .
2. At the bottom, tap Profile .
3. Under your gamer name, in the search bar, enter your friend’s gamer name or email address.
4. Tap Send invite .

Use the suggested friends list

Google Play Games Mobile App uses your Google contacts to make friend suggestions.

1. Open Google Play Games Mobile App .
2. At the bottom, tap Profile .
3. At the bottom, you’ll find “Suggested friends from your contacts.” To invite a friend, tap Add friend .

Tip: When you remove a friend from your Google contacts, they aren’t removed from your Google Play Games Mobile App friend list. If they aren’t a Google Play Games Mobile App friend, they don’t appear as a suggestion.

Change a friend’s name

After you add a friend, you can change their displayed name. Only you can see and edit these names.

1. Open Google Play Games Mobile App .
2. At the bottom, tap Profile .
3. Choose a friend’s profile.
4. Below their gamer name, tap your friend’s name and change it.

Remove friends

1. Go to your friend’s profile.
2. At the top, tap More Remove friend.

Friends are not notified when you remove them but you won’t be on their Play Games friends list.

Make sure your friends can find you

1. Open Google Play Games Mobile App .
2. Tap More Settings.
3. Turn on Let others find your profile using your email address.
   • Tip: When this feature is turned off, your friends need to know your gamer name to send you an invite.
4. Turn on Receive friend invites.
   • If you turn this off, you can still send invitations to friends.

Choose who can see your game activity and friends list

From the Google Play Games Mobile App, you can:

• Change who sees your achievements, leaderboards, and games played.
• Choose which games access the gamer name on your friends list.

See your friends’ games

After you add friends, you can see their games if they've chosen to share them.

1. Open Google Play Games Mobile App .
2. Tap Profile .
3. Choose a friend’s profile.
4. Scroll down to find which games they’ve played.
