Change an ebook's font size, color, & more

You can change the display color for most ebooks. For some ebooks, you can also change the font size, color, and line spacing.

Make the font bigger

1. On your computer, go to Google Play Books.
2. Open a book.
3. At the top, click Display options .
4. Click Increase font size .

Change the font style, alignment, & spacing

When you view a book as Flowing text, you can adjust font settings. Not all books offer Flowing text.

1. On your computer, go to Google Play Books.
2. Open a book.
3. At the top, click Display options .
4. Change a setting:
   • Font style: Under "Typeface," click an option.
   • Line spacing: Under "Line height," click an option. 
   • Text alignment: Under "Justify," click an option.

Make it easier to read at night

1. On your computer, go to Google Play Books.
2. Open a book.
3. At the top right, click Display options .
4. Turn on Dark Theme.

Translate, define, or search for a word 

1. On your computer, open Google Play Books.
2. Open a book.
3. Select a word.
4. Select an option:
   • Define: Get the definition of the word in English.
   • Translate: Select languages to translate to and from.
   • Search: Search for a word in the book or on the web.
