Fix gift card error “That code doesn't work. Try a different one, or learn more about potential problems with gift cards”

First, try redeeming the gift card on your mobile device.

1. Open the Google Play app .
2. At the top right, tap the profile icon.
3. Tap Payments & subscriptions  Redeem gift code.
4. Enter the code.
5. Tap Redeem.

Note: If you are currently traveling, try redeeming the gift card again when you get back to your home country.
