Watch movies & TV shows from your streaming apps

You can watch movies and TV shows from your streaming apps with Google Play Movies & TV Play Movies or Google TV .

To find content from streaming apps, you need the Google Play Movies & TV app version 4.15 or higher. Learn how to update your Android apps.

Currently, you can watch movies and TV shows from the following apps.

  • ABC
  • Amazon Prime Video
  • AMC
  • A&E
  • CBS All Access
  • Crackle
  • Comedy Central
  • DC Universe
  • Disney NOW
  • Disney+
  • Epix Now
  • Fox Now
  • Hulu
  • HBO Go
  • HBO Max
  • History
  • Lifetime
  • MTV
  • NBC
  • Pluto TV
  • Showtime
  • Showtime Anytime
  • Sling TV
  • Starz
  • TBS
  • The CW
  • TNT
  • Tubi TV
  • VH1

This feature is available only in the US and doesn’t support live TV.

Manage or add your streaming services

  1. Open Google Play Movies & TV Play Movies or Google TV .
  2. At the top, tap Menu Menu or your profile picture and then Manage services.
  3. Select the services you want to add.
  4. Tap Next.
  5. Confirm whether you have cable or satellite TV.
  6. Tap Done.

Watch movies or TV shows available for free

  1. Open Google Play Movies & TV Play Movies or Google TV .
  2. At the top, tap Free or For You.
  3. Browse all movies or TV shows available for you to watch on other services.

Find movies or TV shows

  1. Open Google Play Movies & TV Play Movies or Google TV .
  2. Search for a movie or TV show you want to watch.
  3. Choose a streaming app.
  4. Tap Watch. The movie or TV show will play from the streaming app.

Tip: If the movie or TV show requires a subscription, you must sign in or sign up for that service. If the app isn't installed on your device, you'll be prompted to install it from Google Play.
