Watch movies and TV shows from your streaming apps

You can watch movies and TV shows from your streaming apps using the Google Play Movies & TV app.

Currently, you can watch movies and TV shows from the following apps.

  • Amazon Prime Video
  • Hulu
  • HBO Now
  • HBO Go
  • CBS
  • Starz
  • Showtime
  • ABC
  • Fox Now
  • NBC
  • The CW
  • Crackle
  • Showtime Anytime
  • History
  • Disney Now
  • Lifetime
  • A&E
  • Tubi TV
  • Comedy Central
  • MTV
  • VH1
  • HGTV
  • Food Network
  • BET Now
  • Max Go
  • DIY Network
  • Travel Channel
  • Cooking Chann

This feature is available only in the U.S. and doesn’t support streaming live TV. 

Watch movies or TV shows from other apps 

Inside the Google Play Movies and TV app, you can browse content from supported streaming services you subscribe to.

Manage your streaming services

  1. Open the Google Play Movies & TV app Play Movies.
  2. In the upper left hand corner, tap Menu Menu and then Manage services.
  3. Tap the services you want to add, and then tap Next.
  4. Confirm if you have cable or satellite TV, so we can show content available only to paid TV subscribers.
  5. Tap Done

Browse movies or TV shows available for free

  1. Open the Google Play Movies & TV app Play Movies.
  2. At the top of the screen, tap Free.
  3. Browse all movies or TV shows available for you to watch on other services.

Note: To add more services,  tap Menu Menu and then Manage services.

Find movies or TV shows

  1. Open the Google Play Movies & TV app Play Movies.
  2. Search for a movie or TV show.
  3. Tap the movie or TV show that you want to watch.
  4. Choose a streaming app and tap Watch. If you don’t already have that app, you'll be prompted to install it from Google Play.

Note: If the movie or TV show requires a subscription, you'll need to sign in or sign up for that service. 

The movie or TV show will play from the streaming app.
