What happens after you cancel

When you cancel a subscription, you’ll still be able to use your subscription for the time that you’ve already paid.

For example, if you buy a one-year subscription on 1 January for £10 and decide to cancel your subscription on 1 July:

  • You’ll have access to the subscription until 31 December.
  • You won’t be charged another yearly subscription of £10 the following 1 January.
  • You'll lose access to paid Apps & Games, in-app purchases and ad-free experiences unlocked by your subscription.

What happens after you cancel Play Pass

Any apps that you installed from Play Pass and their data will remain on your device.

For content that you obtained via Play Pass:

  • Paid apps will prompt you to buy the app or subscribe to Play Pass.
  • In-app purchases will be removed, but available for individual purchase.
  • Ads will reappear in apps where they were removed.
  • If you join Play Pass again, all this content will be unlocked again.

Prepaid plans last for a limited time, so that you don’t need to cancel them. It’ll automatically expire at the end of the billing period.
