Fees, charges and authorisations

Use this page to learn about the fees, charges and authorisations that may apply when using Google Payments.

Fees

There are no fees for making purchases on Google services, like Google Play or Google Drive. You only pay for your purchases, applicable taxes and delivery fees.

Charges

The Google service that you made your order through will be the one to charge your account.

Charges appear on your statement as GOOGLE*Seller's name and usually appear on your statement within a few days of your order's placement.

Depending on your location, your bank or card company might charge fees for international transactions.

Authorisations

When you check your bank account or card statement, you may see pending payment authorisations. These authorisations happen so that Google can make sure that the card is valid, and to check that you have enough funds in your account to make the purchase.

These are authorisation requests and not charges. You don't pay for authorisations.

Authorisations may stay in your account for 1–14 working days depending on your bank. If you still see the pending authorisation after 14 working days, contact your bank for more information.
