Redeem your gift card or gift code

You can get physical Google Play gift cards and digital gift cards (also referred to as gift codes) by email, SMS or other methods of delivery. Find where to buy gift cards.

Gift card redemption codes are typically a 16-digit combination of numbers and letters. Some digital gift codes sent to you by email, SMS or other methods may have a different number of digits, but will be a combination of numbers and letters.

1. On your Android device, open the Google Play app .
2. At the top right, tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Payments and subscriptions Redeem code.
4. Enter the code.
5. Tap Redeem.
6. Review the account that will receive the balance that you redeem.
7. Tap Confirm.

Redeem when you make a purchase on Google Play

1. Go through the checkout process until you find the payment method listed.
2. Next to the payment method, select the down arrow Redeem code.
3. Enter your code.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
