Settings and features in the Play Games app
Learn about privacy settings and features in the Play Games app below.
You'll need to have the Google Play Games app installed in order to access some features. If you're playing a game that needs the Play Games app, and you don’t already have it, we’ll let you know or direct you to the Google Play Store to install it.
Change your privacy settings
On your mobile deviceMake your Profile public or private
If your Gamer Profile is public, other players can see your gameplay activity, level and XP. To change your Gamer Profile privacy settings:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Play Games app

- In the top right, tap More
Settings.
- Next to "Public gamer profile," tap the checkbox.
- Choose an option.
Note: If your Profile is private, you will appear as Level 1 to other players.
Visibility settings for individual games
On your Google+ Manage apps page, you can control who can see your activity.
Your Game Profile level is a combination of all the XP you've earned. If your Profile is private, you will appear as Level 1 to other players.
On a web browser, go to your Google+ Manage apps page to control who can see your activity.
See games you've played
On your mobile deviceSee recent games

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Play Games app
.
- Your recently played games will appear on the home screen.
See all games
- Open the Play Games app
.
- At the bottom of your screen, tap Library.
- You can see both your installed games and games not installed currently.
- Tap a game to learn more, play, or install it.
Find games not on the list
If you don't see a game you've recently played, you may have downloaded it with another account. To see games that aren't showing up:
- Open the Play Games app
.
- At the bottom of your screen, tap Library.
- In the top right, tap More
Show in "My Games".
To find games you've installed using your current Google account, open the Play Games app and select My Profile. Games you've signed into will show here in the order they were last played.
If a game you have installed using your Google account doesn't appear on Android TV, it may not be compatible. Here's how you can check:
- On your computer, go to the Google Play Store.
- Find the game you want to play.
- Click Install or Installed.
- Under "Choose a device," look for your Android TV device. If it's greyed out, the game isn't compatible.
Find featured and popular games
On your mobile deviceYou can play Solitaire, PAC-MAN, and Cricket for free in the Google Play Games app. These games are developed by Google and are available to play even when you are offline.
Discover new games to play
- Open the Play Games app

- On the bottom right, tap Arcade.
- You can filter games by categories like Trending, New, Kids, and more.
- Select or search for a game to learn more, and download it on Google Play.
To find additional games, scroll down the arcade for more of our favorites.
To find featured and popular games that use Play Games:
- Open the Play Games app
.
- Select Find games.
- Select or search for a game to learn more, see if any of your friends play the game, and download it on Google Play.
