Learn how to update your GPU driver

Before updating your GPU driver, it’s important to learn which GPU model your computer has.

Follow these steps to get your GPU manufacturer and model:

  1. Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc together.
  2. Select Performance.
  3. In the last pane of the tab, choose GPU. It will likely be at the bottom of the list.
  4. In the top right corner of the GPU selection, information about your computer’s GPU will be visible. Please note that you can have more than one GPU, and to ensure the best experience, all GPU devices should have their drivers updated.

Update information on some common Windows GPU drivers can be found on these manufacturer websites below.

Third-party resources for updating your GPU driver

Important: Updated drivers aren’t available for all GPUs, especially for those that are no longer supported by the manufacturer. The list below might not include all manufacturers in your region.
