Organization Address verification matching

If you find you are unable to verify your address or you have in the past verified your address but are now told it is no longer verified then this guide is for you.

 

The address in question is the address on your payment profile that is linked to your Play account. You may have multiple payment profiles and you need to ensure the one you are looking at is the correct one. To do this find the profile at https://pay.google.com/ that has the transaction for your Play Developer account.

Once you have the correct profile you can then compare that address with the address at D&B to ensure that they do match.

The match needs to be identical for both the company name and the address. Here is an example of an address that does not match:

While both addresses may be valid for the postal system they will cause you problems with the verification.

You can change either the Payment Profile address or the D&B address. Be aware changes to the D&B address may take 7 to 9 days to be updated by Google.

Once the address both match again then the problem should be resolved. If not then you should contact payments support: https://support.google.com/paymentscenter/contact/default

 

DO NOT try to delete your payment profile and create a new one. That will result in your Developer account becoming associated with a payments profile and cause you a lot more problems where the fix is to create a new developer account and transfer your app to the new one.
