Manage your developer account information

If you need to update your Google Play developer account information, you can make changes using the Google Play Developer Console.

Set up or change account information

Developer information shown to users on Google Play

If your contact details, developer name, or physical address changes, make sure to update your information. Only the account owner can view and change developer profile settings.

Contact details

  1. Sign in to your Google Play Developer Console.
  2. Click All apps All applications.
  3. Select an app.
  4. On the left menu, click Store Listing.
  5. At the bottom of the page, type your contact email address or website. A contact email address is required to publish or update apps on Google Play. Your contact email address doesn't have to be the same account you use to sign in to your developer account.
  6. Near the top of your screen, click Save draft (new apps) or Submit update (existing apps).

Developer name

  1. Sign in to your Google Play Developer Console.
  2. Click Settings Settings.
  3. Next to "Developer name," type the developer name you want to be displayed on Google Play.
  4. Click Save.

Physical address

To comply with consumer protection laws, developer accounts with paid apps or in-app purchases need to add a physical address to their accounts. If a developer account with paid apps or in-app purchases doesn't have a physical address, it may result in the account's apps being suspended from the Play Store.

  1. Sign in to your Google Play Developer Console.
  2. Click Settings Settings.
  3. Under "Developer profile," type your address.
  4. Click Save.

  1. Sign in to your Google Play Developer Console.
  2. Click Settings Settings.
  3. Under "Developer profile," type your information.
  4. Click Save.
Account owner email address and country

The account owner email address and country can't be changed. However, you can create a new account using a different email address or country and transfer your apps to your new account.

Accounts with published or unpublished apps

To transfer apps to a new account, go to our app transfer checklist.

Accounts without apps

If you haven't published any apps using your existing Developer Console account, you can create a new account and cancel your existing account.

Google Payments Merchant account linked to your developer account

After you've created and linked a Google Payments Merchant account to your Developer Console account, your linked Merchant account and Merchant account's country can't be changed.

If you want to change the Google Payments Merchant account linked to your developer account, you can create a new developer account and Google Payments Merchant account and link the new accounts.

Tip: Google Payments Merchant account balances can't be transferred between accounts. If you have a Google Payments Merchant account with an outstanding or pending balance, it's a good idea to keep that account open until any remaining balances have been paid out.
