Manage your developer account information

If you need to update your Google Play developer account information, you can make changes using the Play Console.

Set up or change account information

Developer information shown to users on Google Play

If your contact details, developer name, or physical address changes, make sure to update your information. Only the account owner can view and change developer profile settings.

Contact details

  1. Sign in to your Play Console.
  2. Click All applications All applications.
  3. Select an app.
  4. On the left menu, click Store presence > Store listing.
  5. At the bottom of the page, type your contact email address or website. A contact email address is required to publish or update apps on Google Play. Your contact email address doesn't have to be the same account you use to sign in to your developer account.
  6. Save your changes.

Developer name

  1. Sign in to your Play Console.
  2. Click Settings Settings.
  3. Next to "Developer name," type the developer name you want to be displayed on Google Play.
  4. Save your changes.

Physical address

To comply with consumer protection laws, developer accounts with paid apps or in-app purchases need to add a physical address to their accounts. If a developer account with paid apps or in-app purchases doesn't have a physical address, it may result in the account's apps being suspended from the Play Store.

  1. Sign in to your Play Console.
  2. Click Settings Settings.
  3. Under "Developer profile," type your address.
  4. Save your changes.

  1. Sign in to your Play Console.
  2. Click Settings Settings.
  3. Under "Developer profile," type your information.
  4. Save your changes.
Account owner email address and country

The account owner email address and country can't be changed. However, you can create a new account using a different email address or country and transfer your apps to your new account.

Accounts with published or unpublished apps

To transfer apps to a new account, go to our app transfer checklist.

Accounts without apps

If you haven't published any apps using your existing Play Console account, you can create a new account and cancel your existing account.

Payments profile linked to your developer account

After you've created and linked a payments profile to your Play Console account, your linked accounts and payments country setting can't be changed.

If you want to change the payments profile linked to your developer account, you can create a new developer account and payments profile and link the new accounts.

Tip: Payments profile balances can't be transferred between accounts. If you have a payments profile with an outstanding or pending balance, it's a good idea to keep that account open until any remaining balances have been paid out.

Control personalization of your Play Console

By sharing data about which features you use and how you use them, you can help us personalize your Play Console experience and improve the services we provide.

Play Console personalization data includes:

  • A timestamp of when you interact with features
  • The developer account you're logged into
  • The platform you're using to access the Play Console (web, mobile app, or other source)
  • The language you're viewing on the Play Console
  • The package name you're viewing
