Google Play offers two developer account types: personal and organisation. Personal and organisation accounts have access to the same functionality and are able to monetise on Google Play using a payments profile.
Developer account for personal useChoose a personal account if your account is for personal use. For example, if you’re a student, hobbyist or amateur developer. You can still earn money on Google Play and invite others to join your account.
Choose an organisation account if you’re creating an account for an organisation or business. For example, if you’re engaged in commercial, industrial, professional or governmental activities. To create a developer account for an organisation, you must have a DUNS number. This is a mandatory requirement when providing developer account information for your organisation or business, and is used by Google Play to verify your identity.
