Google Play offers two developer account types: Personal and Organization. Personal and organization accounts have access to the same functionality and are able to monetize on Google Play using a payments profile.
Developer account for personal useChoose a personal account if your account is for personal use. For example, if you’re a student, hobbyist, or amateur developer. You can still earn money on Google Play and invite others to join your account.
Choose an organization account if you’re creating an account for an organization or business. For example, if you’re engaged in commercial, industrial, professional, or governmental activities. To create a developer account for an organization, you must have a D-U-N-S number. This is a mandatory requirement when providing developer account information for your organization or business, and is used by Google Play to verify your identity.
