Pixel Watch 2 gets stuck in setting up when updating the OS

I've been trying for the past 2 hours to set up my watch. I've reinstalled pixel watch app, reset the watch, tried wifi and bluetooth, tried with and without syncing Google account

The watch constantly gets stuck at about 5% of the update and nothing happens. I restart the watch then it forces a reset

It works!

Setup from my phone (Pixel Fold - Android 14 Latest Beta) only took about ~5 minutes to setup since it didn't force me to update my watch

However, I had to skip the Fitbit setup since I got a message saying Fitbit servers are under maintenance. I can sort this part out tomorrow, I'm not worried about it

Everything else aside from Fitbit is working fine!

i had the same issue. when the watch ask to "Waiting for watch to charge"  conect watch cable to a phone charger insted of contected to a computer.
that works for me

Yes, and please note other comments, I got it to work by leaving it connected over the night, which is not good. Maybe open a ticket? Thanks!

I am on my 2nd Pixel Watch.  I was very surprised that the 1st Pixel Watch charger did not work on the 2nd Pixel Watch.  I am not new to Pixel Watches & how you charge them.  I put it on the new charger & the update worked the first day I got it after seeing the comments in this forum.  I have been now using and charging my Watch just fine since the week it was released.  This is my last comment on this subject.

Where seemed to have solved it for me really is using a power outlet instead of a computer. 
The it still took 1 hour but it finally worked. 
Watch is all set up just the app still alerts that something went wrong and the watch needs to be reset.....

OK I had mine go for up to 10 hours and only move like 5%. I eventually held the dial till it came to the screen asking for my launguage. I scrolled down to settings. eventually got into the wifi. NOTE: it showed it was ON the wifi. However, I changed it to another Access Point and then put in my password. It got on THAT  AP and then I swiped R to L till it back to the installing screen. FINALLY THE DIAL STARTED PROGRESSING. It was now actually downloading form the wifi and NOT the blue tooth. In 10 minutes it got what it finally needed to get the update. This was very frustrating.
