Pixel Buds A-Series Firmware Update

Announcement
Hi everyone,

We're slowly rolling out the next firmware update for Pixel Buds A-Series over the next few days. The update contains general bug fixes and improvements.

If you don’t see the Pixel Buds A-Series firmware version 3.514 right away, please wait a few days, as it’s slowly rolled out to everyone. For detailed instructions on how to update, head over to the Help Center.

As well, Pixel Buds A-Series are now available to purchase in Charcoal, and the new color has also been added to the Pixel Buds app.

Thanks,
Rebecca

I have a Manual Update Available that continues to Fail after 10+ attempts. Currently on 3.492.0

Same here. Tried several times but the firmware doesn't update. Pixel, at the end of the process, says that the update wasn't successful cause the air buds lost the connection during the process.

For those who mentioned they haven't received the update, please check again, as it should be fully rolled out by now. Thanks!

Just to update, got the update yesterday after Rebecca said it was rolled out.  Took about 10-15 minutes or so but update went flawlessly.  Now on the latest buds firmware. 3.514

Hi @Charles - Can you make sure there is good contact of the buds with the charging pin in the case by pressing it down a bit? As well, please make sure that you're following the on-screen software update instructions and keeping the buds and case close to the phone during the update. Let us know if that works!

I'm still having that problem. They shut off before it's time. But they still say they are connected on my phone. I'm going to take the earbud tips  off and try it again. But I think it's on the softwares end. And I have a pixel 6 pro and just tryed 6 times in a row

Hi Jeff - so sorry about that! Can you make sure there is good contact with the charging pin by 1) making sure there is no earwax or debris around the charging pin contact areas on the buds and the case and 2) pressing the buds down a bit to ensure a good contact? If that doesn't solve the issue, please reach out to support. Thank you!

All is well. I returned the buds.

I also had this problem with the manual update. raised a support case but it was not really productive. at the end, the update ran automatically overnight and solved this "manual update" issue for me. unfortunately, I never received a final conclusion from support.
